S: Summer of ’69

“Oh when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever”

This is another of my favorite ’80s songs. I love the guitar part at the very beginning of the song.

I had the opportunity of seeing Bryan Adams last year with his acoustic tour. I actually won the tickets from my local radio station, which is crazy because  I never win anything. I was super excited to not only get to go for free, but also to sit in the second row. It was so much fun! And when he played this song, even though it was acoustic, everyone got up and started dancing.

Oh, and he sounded exactly like he does on the radio. Great show!

The Summer of ’69 was actually released in the summer of 1985. I was surprised to find out it only peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. I really thought it would have been a number one song. Oh well, it is number one in my book!

  1. Love Bryan Adams! And I love when concerts sound like they do on the radio. I typically like studio versions of songs over live versions for exactly that reason. So cool that you won the tickets AND got to sit second row: WOW!!! Fun!
