Oh, Frisco Jones! I was a little too young in 1985 to watch soap operas, although I did watch One Life to Live with my grandmother a few years later.  Shout out to Cord and Tina!

What I remember most about this song was that my older high school neighbor was obsessed with General Hospital and Jack Wagner (Rick Springfield too). This song was always on repeat when I’d go to her house to visit.

Here is ol’ Jack on Solid Gold. Gosh! Remember Solid Gold?! What a great show that was. I wish they’d bring that on TV, for the awesome music and the crazy costumes.

This was Jack Wagner’s one and only hit. He peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, only to be shut out by Madonna’s Like A Virgin. He did hit #1 on Billboard’s adult contemporary chart and was also ranked #71 on VH1’s list of 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders.

Not too shabby for a soap opera heartthrob!
